PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE PROCEEDING!!! I know its long but its worth knowing.
Testing and Health: We test annually for CAE. We are an abscess free herd. We do our best to disclose any known health issues prior to being sold. We value integrity and our reputation above any sale. We do not sell animals with know health or reproductive problems unless thoroughly discussed prior to sale.
Prices: Our prices include ADGA registration which is almost always done digitally to save headaches on both our behalves. As of 1/1/2024 DNA is required to be on file for all bucks prior to the registration of their offspring with ADGA. We support this rule and as such will perform required DNA on all buck kids prior to sale. DNA for doe kids can be done upon request and will cost $30 (the cost of the test plus $1 for printing, shipping sample, etc.). The price also includes transport to either Pullman regional or Spokane International Airports but does NOT include the cost of shipping or kennel. I will provide an interstate health certificate as needed at no cost, however additional testing may be required by some states at the buyers expense (TB and/or Brucellosis). Buyer is responsible for notifying us of what tests are required for their state and paying for them in advance. Please note that air shipment is subject to the weather. Both too hot and too cold conditions can delay or cancel a shipment. We are not responsible for these delays and will do our best to communicate with the buyer. Some states/countries will we not be able to ship to in the summer months.
Prices: Prices are negotiable and may change based on the quality of the dam/kid when she freshens. Pre-ordered kids with deposit will not increase within a given year. $100 Deposit will hold any kid and is refundable or transferable ONLY if that kid is not born or is not of acceptable quality. Pre-ordered kids must be paid for IN FULL within 14 days of birth or they will be offered to the next person in line. WE RESERVE BREEDERS RIGHTS TO THE FIRST CHOICE OF ALL KIDS, although sales are very seldom canceled. All kids must be picked up by 8 weeks of age or the buyer will incur boarding fees of $50 per week, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Discounts: We do offer discounts for 4-H and FFA. We also offer discounts on multiples, and/or groups of goats, and will preference performance and show homes for some of our does. We love to see them go on to show at their new homes and the performance data is invaluable.
Pickup: Adult animals must be picked up at the farm unless delivery arrangements are made prior to purchase. All kids and adult animals must be paid for in full (including delivery fees) before they leave the farm for pickup or delivery.
Deposits: Deposits can be made via PayPal, Venmo, cash, or check (check will not be considered paid until deposited and cleared). No deposits will be accepted prior to contacting the farm. Please do not send a deposit until you have chatted with us and we have agreed to accept said deposit. Please do not send anything requiring a signature as we are a busy farm and have full time jobs. We cannot guarantee that someone will be around to sign.
This is a PLANNED breeding list. Things may change and we will update this list if it does. Once a doe is confirmed bred with a blood test or ultrasound we will update with the bred date and prospective due date. We will accept a deposit year round. If the breeding changes the buyer has until October 15th (or 30 days past bred confirmation, whichever is later) to withdraw or transfer your deposit. At that time it becomes a regular deposit, and is ONLY refundable is an acceptable kid is not born. If a kid is not born we can refund your deposit, or transfer your deposit to another doe, or we can carry your deposit over to the next year.
Baby Pictures: Sometimes I have time to take photos of kids, and sometimes I do not. I will share the pictures I take but I am unable to accommodate requests for pictures, especially multiple photos. Additionally, the photos I have on the website are the most up-to-date and accurate photos I have. I will not go get another angle or an updated photo. I only have so many pictures of the bucks. I have provided reference photos of their dam as well as their sire's dam. This is the best indicator of the quality of kid you will get. Very few hairy, smelly bucks take nice pictures.
Height & Weight: We recognize that some pack buyers want to know the size of the dam and sire. On occasion I know how tall a particular animal is. I usually can give you a solid weight. So many factors play into the final height of new kids. Their parents genetics is just one. Good nutrition, a solid mineral plan, excellent parasite control, even age at castration all play a part. Not to mention, height is only one factor. Tall does not equate with strong. Some shorter goats are heartier and more muscular than tall leggy boys and can carry far more. Please do not ask me the height of every goat I have.
Shipping: We will ship by air. This is new to us, please be patient as we learn the best methods to do this. We ask that $450 is pre-paid for shipping ($550 for two kids in one crate). We will correct the charges when we have the final bill. We can provide you with a brand new kennel for $100-150 depending on size, or you can send us one. Kennels must be IATA approves with metal doors and bolts, and have two water dishes. Contact us before sending a kennel. Due to the unpredictable nature of air travel we are unable to give actual cost of shipping until the kid is checked in at the airport. Thus the reason for the pre-paid shipping. There are now ground transports available as well. Feel free to contact us and we can discuss options.
Care and maintenance: All kids will be dam raised or bottle fed at our discretion. If a kid is sold as a bottle kid they will be fully weaned onto a bottle before leaving the farm. They will receive vaccinations, coccidia prevention and deworming per our schedule. We recommend free choice hay to all weaned kids through adulthood. All goats should be put on a parasite control program upon arrival to their new home. We do not recommend early freshening and will not be responsible for any doe which freshens prior to 16 months old. Just because they can breed doesn't mean they should. Please give your girls a chance to grow and mature before having to support a pregnancy as well.
We very rarely sell bucks out of first fresheners. They will be available as wethers only. If we do feel a first freshener is of the quality and has generations of proven animals behind her to keep a buck kid, we will be very select where those bucks go.
